Introduction
The ring die pellet mill and its working principle. Its die is a porous cylinder which rotates by transmission. There are 2-4 grooved cylinders with of free rotating or driven self-rotating rollers. The raw material enters the die and is pressed into the workshop by the rotating rollers, embedded in the die holes, extruded from the outer wall of the die and It is cut into cylindrical granules by the cutter. The main point of the machine is that the linear velocity is equal everywhere on the ring die and on the press rollers. There is no additional friction and all the pressure is used for pelletizing, which is why it is so efficient.
The multifunctional pellet mill mainly uses mechanical crushing, mixing and squeezing, and friction to generate heat, which makes the starch in the raw material paste, and also uses the moisture contained in the raw material to make the feed plastic, so that the operations of forming, drying and cutting are completed in one go.
The soft pellet feed machine is used to process raw materials with a moisture content of 20%-30%. Green feed can be powdered or mixed with powder and pressed into pellets, which are generally used for feeding during processing. For storage and transport, drying is required. There are spiral, impeller and drum types. Screws are widely used. The screw is mainly composed of the barrel, screw and die hole.
The puffed pellet machine is mainly composed of a screw feeder, moisture-controlled mixing, puffing and pelleting chamber, pellet cutter and power transmission. Some are simplified to only chrysalis rod and sleeve. The working principle is:The screw rotates at high speed in the sleeve, producing extrusion and friction, which raises the temperature and pressure in the sleeve (temperature reaches 150°C and pressure reaches 30-100 kg/cm2). When the raw material is extruded through the die hole into the atmosphere, the temperature and pressure drop sharply. With the temperature and pressure difference in action, the water in the feed (grain) evaporates rapidly and the volume expands suddenly, so the feed (grain) becomes porous and the water content drops to 6-9%.
